OUR CHILDREN ARE COMING TO SEE US

TGIF, Friday is here and our son, daughter and Son-in-law are coming to Houston today to spend the weekend here with us. We are so happy that they are coming.

Shane & Nicole

Gina woke up with me yesterday and brought me to work so she could run some errands during the day. She bought a new vacuum cleaner and some tiki torches. I almost forgot she went and bought some firewood so we would be able to have a campfire tonight with our children and we will get to try out our new fire pit we bought last Sunday.

Well Wednesday we were invited to a crawfish boil by Tom & Susan they’re members of the Texas boomers RV club and we both love crawfish so we decided to go eat some mudbugs. Some of them came in early so they could have this crawfish boil but the main theme for their rally was to have a retirement party Ray. They are supposed to have a total of 35 rigs here for the rally. I Believe Annette will be here from the RV-Dreams forum and chat room. I’m looking forward to meeting her if she is here. After we finished eating we went over to some friends camper that had a fire going and had a great time socializing. Gina had brought all the fixin’s for smores earlier in the day since she bought too much while we were in Kerrville last week and she is trying to get rid of it. A few people roasted marshmallows and ate smores so we are almost out of smore fixins. There was a couple there that used to full time but about six months ago they decided to buy a house and travel part time. Well we had first met them last year at the campground and it was nice to see them again. Anyway the conversation got to toilets. First topic was about trying to flush a toilet with your foot when you’re in a sticks & brick house then it got to different types of toilets in RV’s in whether you pull up to let water in or you push down to let water in then it went downhill from there. We all had some good laughs and soon it was 10:30 and we were both getting tired and wanted to go to sleep. We said our goodbyes and walked back to our home and had to take out our girls before we could get in bed. We finally got in bed and watched a little TV before we went to sleep.

Rayford Crossing RV Resort
Spring, Texas

Gina has not been feeling well (she had too much fun in Kerrville) so she stayed in bed until 11:00 o’clock then she called me and said she wanted to bring back the fire pit that she had bought at Target when she was shopping with her girls in Kerrville. We stopped at Campers World on our way back home Sunday and found the same fire pit / grill that Kevin & Arlene had in Kerrville. This is a popular fire pit since Kerrville the following people have bought them: Jim & Ellie, Mark & Dortha, Joe & Sherri, and Rodney & Becky.

Coleman 22" Fire pit and grill

I went home at lunch to give her the car so she could go by Target but guess what I put the wrong fire pit in the trunk so she will have to do it another day. She picked me up from work at five o’clock and we went to Sam’s to buy some steaks since the weather was great and we both wanted a nice filet to eat with our cauliflower. We just ate steaks Saturday night with John & Brennnnndah but we were in the mood for another one. We had bought stocked up on broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus before we left for Kerrville that we have to eat it this week or I will have wasted money which is not what I enjoy doing. We got home and I started the grill and Gina started the side dishes and everything tasted great. She is such a great cook. After dinner we decided to take the Angel and Zoey for a walk and ended up sitting down with a group of campers that had a nice fire going in an old washing machine tub. It was a beautiful fire and the heat was great considering the air was damp. Around ten o’clock it was time to go back home since 4:30 comes early. Well that was our day yesterday very nice, peaceful and just enjoyable. Not sure what we will do today since I’m back at work but I do enjoy what I do but I would rather be snuggled up in bed with my wife. However, that day will come to me very soon and until them I cannot wait.

First Entry

Well, since all our RV friends have blogs / journals we decided that we should have one too. This is our first attempt to keep our friends and family informed of what we are up to and what our future travel plans are.
