Gina Having Fun on Her Four Wheeler

Even though I gave Gina her Mother’s Day present Saturday she has not been able to ride it out in the desert yet. Since it's been extremely windy here. So yesterday she decided that after her walk she wanted to take a ride into the desert. We got started around 8:30 and before we even went 200 feet into the desert we saw two snakes (sorry no pictures). We both said that wasn’t a good sign. However, she wanted to ride her new four wheeler so we continued our ride. After we had rode for a while she decided to have a little fun. Out in the middle of a big dry creek bed she started doing donuts in the sand. All I could do was laugh and take pictures of her. So here are some of those pictures.

Gina having fun!!!

It's hard to believe that one week ago she was scared to death to ride by herself. Now look at her, she looks like a pro!!

Giving the thumbs up

We rode about thirty miles and had a great time. Gina even managed to find some special rocks for Mike and Pat's yard.

Our time here at North Ranch is slowly coming to an end. It’s going to be hard to leave Mike and Pat. Gina and I both have grown so close to them. However, if you read their blog then you know they will be leaving here in three weeks. I'm sure it will be harder for them to leave their new home. Our friends, Mark and Dale are leaving tomorrow to head toward the Grand Canyon. We wish them safe travels and look forward to seeing them again down the road. Then we'll be leaving in about ten days headed for our house in Louisiana to celebrate with Shane, our son-in-law as he graduates from Louisiana State University on May 21st. Here's an early Congratulations as I know it wasn't easy and we are both proud of you.

Before I end, Gina and I both want to wish Aunt Debbie a Very Happy Birthday today!!!!!

Gina & I hope everyone has a pleasant and wonderful day, enjoying what our Father has so graciously blessed us with.

An Early Mother's Day Present for Gina

Gina is all smiles as she sits on her new four wheeler

Last week Gina went four wheeling with the girls, Pat, Nancy and Bonnie. She was very apprehensive and scared. However, she went anyway and had a great time. On Thursday Gina borrowed Nancy’s four wheeler while I rode Mike’s four wheeler. We both rode separately and had a blast. Gina was able to ride Nancy’s four wheeler over all the hills around here and did great. It was a great confidence builder for her. Now Gina wakes up at 5:15 every morning and goes walking with Mike and Pat for about four miles around North Ranch.

Gina, Mike and Pat finishing up their morning walk

One morning last week they spotted a four wheeler for sale here. It’s was strange since there is almost no one here now that most everyone has left and headed back north either to go back home or travel for the summer. We rode over to take a look at it and it wasn’t there so we figured it had been sold. Then a few days later she saw it again so we stopped what we were doing and rode over to look at it. She rode it back over to Mike and Pat’s so her Pops could look at it and see if it met his approval. He and Pat both looked it over and took it for a little ride. They both agreed that it was in great shape so Mike went inside and looked online to see what it was worth according to NADA. We then went back over to talk to the owner and discussed the price and after agreeing Gina got her very own four wheeler. It’s a 2007 Polaris 330 trail boss.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!! I love you Sweetheart

Mike and Pat agreed to let us keep it here since we do not have anyway to carry it yet. That will change once I get back to our house in Louisiana.

Last night we had a little gathering since Gregg and Bonnie will be leaving this morning and it gave me an opportunity to get a picture each couple.

To end this entry I wanted everyone to see that Gina has been having fun working on landscaping Mike and Pat's new house. I wanted to show you a before and after picture.
