Happy Birthday Shane!!! Today is our Son-in-Law’s birthday. We are so proud of him. We hope today is filled with Joy and that you are Blessed throughout the coming year.
Friday morning was another beautiful morning. We, men that is, continued our work on the plumbing and electrical on Mom & Pop’s apartment while the girls drove to Rapid City to pick up some more materials.
Around one o’clock the Lowe’s delivery truck arrived with the drywall. We had a tough time getting the drywall into the barn. The problem was that the door is only 11 and a half feet wide and the drywall is 12 feet wide. The driver was good and got the first load inside. However, the second load we had to carry in by hand.
After the truck was unloaded we continued on with the plumbing until around 4:15 when the girls arrived back home.
Mom & Pop’s had some friends stop by from Tallahassee, Florida. We all enjoyed meeting and visiting with Bob and Ellie. Around 5:30 I grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. We said goodbye to everyone before heading inside for the night. Another successful day!
We thank everyone for following our blog. I wanted to let you all know that I will not be posting tomorrow since Mike & Pat will be posting. Please see their blog for an update.
Gina & I hope everyone has a pleasant and wonderful day, enjoying what our Father has so graciously blessed us with.

The Men Work While The Girls Play
The Sign of Freedom flying in the wind
Remember and Pray for our Troops who are fighting for the freedoms we enjoy daily.
After a night of thunderstorms we woke up to a beautiful morning. Gina, Mom and Pop’s went for a hike while Rocky and I began working. Rocky got started on the plumbing and I started on the electrical wiring. We both made a lot of progress.
Around ten o’clock the girls decided to have a little fun by taking the four wheelers out for a ride.
Ready to head out
Gina looks very excited
There first stop was Broken Arrow Campground to say hi to
Larry and Geri, the owners

Just thought this was neat, both are trying to see outside
One of the many flowers in bloom up here
We finally stopped working at four o’clock for our daily social hour. It looked like another storm was moving in around five o’clock so we all said good night to each other. The apartment is coming together very nice.

Work Continues and We Take a Drive
We were back Tuesday morning taking a hike through Custer State Park. This time we had Sheri with us to enjoy a beautiful morning.
The views were magnificent. After hiking it was time for Rocky and I to work on the electrical. Rocky got the holes drilled while I hung the gang boxes. Later in the day Rocky laid out the plumbing on paper. We ended the day with grilled hamburgers and corn on the cob. It’s such blessing to have Rocky and Sheri here with us. Rocky has great knowledge on building and Sheri is such a positive and uplifting person. We called it an early night since we were all heading to Rapid City on Wednesday morning.
We woke up early Wednesday morning and Mom, Pop’s, Rocky and Sheri took off in the Honda while Gina and I drove my truck to Rapid City. Our first stop was Lowe’s to order more materials that would be delivered on Friday. Gina and I said goodbye after Lowe’s and drove over to Ellsworth Air Force Base. They all headed to Menard’s to buy plumbing so we can get all of the water supply ran. Our first stop was to the base exchange. It was small and we didn’t find anything so we headed over to the commissary. The price savings up here is significant and we were out of a lot items. After we got everything loaded into the truck we headed back toward Custer. While we were passing through Hill City Gina spotted a Laundry-mat. So I did a U-Turn and we went in and it was empty. This was a good thing since Gina took up all nine washing machines. Once we finished with our laundry we headed back home. Mom has a man lined up to hang drywall starting Tuesday morning. There was a storm moving in tonight so Gina and I called it a night.
