She's in the saddle
Can you tell we're having fun
I believe with views like this I could ride a horse all day
That's Pikes Peak in the middle
This is Kissing Camels
Siamese twins
After we arrived back at the stables these are the pictures that they took of us so we could remember this day for a long time to come.
Gina finally getting that horse ride on Sox 2
Myself & Indian
Gina said she had a great time and ranks up there near the top of our most memorable moments since we began our travels. She really had a great time and the scenery was just gorgeous. We rode over ten miles of trails and if you’re going to see the Garden of the Gods then we both highly recommend seeing it via horse back. It was just fantastic!! Having a good guide was a definite plus. We really thank Katy for giving us such a great trip through the Garden of the God’s.
Our guide, Katy
We arrived back home at 5:15 and after eating homemade pizza for dinner we just relaxed for the evening. We’ll be driving north of Denver today to visit with Ken & Robin. They’re friends from our Navy days. He retired from the Navy a few years ago and is now working in Denver.
Gina & I hope everyone has a pleasant and wonderful day, enjoying what our Father has so graciously blessed us with.

That sure looks like a fun day. Did you see any rock climbers in the Garden of the Gods? Back when I was a serious climber (the last century), they used to let us climb on certain sections of the rocks in Garden of the Gods.
ReplyDeleteBoy that really brought back memories. decades ago we took the horseback ride thru the Gardens.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion(Donna) that is the only way to see that spectacular sight God has given us. I love horses and riding so it was a double delight for me. We were fortunate in that we were the only 2 on the trip that day, and being experienced rider the guide allowed us more freedom. As with you I could have stayed from sun up to sun down. Truly magnificent.
The world always looks better through the ears of a horse. Vaya con Dios.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I'll bet that isn't the last horse ride you folks will be taking!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a great day with awesome pics. See ya down the road.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe
We will be there next summer. We will certainly add this to our "to do" list. Wow, what wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing them with all of us.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable dya for you both!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe scenery is breathtaking, I can only imagine what is was like being there, riding a horse through all that beauty. Makes you a little jealous of the pioneers that first traveled by horse through the area way back when. I bet they felt a higher spirit just being in that moment.
Take care,
Connie
