In Loving Memory of Michael Charles McFall
We arrived in Tucson, Arizona Wednesday around one o’clock with Mike being my navigator. Pat and Gina were following behind us in their vehicle. Gina and I decided to bring them in our truck and trailer so they would not have to drive their rig. Experiencing the loss of a child ourselves, we know the heartfelt pain and wouldn’t want them to have to drive. We are staying on Davis Monthan Air Force Base which is just a couple miles from Karen’s house and the funeral home. Thursday, Mike, Pat and Karen met with the funeral home to make his funeral arrangements. As a courtesy here is Michael’s McFall’s obituary.
Michael Charles McFall
“Children are a blessing from the Lord.” Psalms 127:3 Michael, age 55, died peacefully in his sleep May 10, 2010. Born April 15, 1955 in Ogallala, Nebraska, Michael was the oldest of three sons born to Mike McFall and Jean (Johnson) Krull. Michael attended Lincoln East High School, University of Nebraska, University of Utah, and graduated from the University of Hawaii. His love for America was evident by his service and retirement from the U.S. Army. He always commented that one of his greatest accomplishments was finding and accompanying the remains of American soldiers who had lost their lives during the Vietnam War and were left behind.
Those left to cherish his memories: wife, Karen F. McFall; two sons, Michael Romeo McFall and Stephen Charles McFall; father and stepmom, Mike and Pat McFall; mother, Jean Krull; brother, Patrick McFall and wife Michelle; sister-in-law, Ann McFall , nephew and niece Patrick McFall and Shala McFall, uncle and aunt, Larry and Judie Johnson; cousins and good friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott A “Scooter” McFall; step-father, Chuck Krull; grandparents, Fred and Esther McFall, Martin and Lucille Johnson.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010 at Bring Funeral Home, 6910 East Broadway, Tucson, Arizona. Internment will be held at a later date as Michael’s request was to be laid to rest at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific located in the Punchbowl crater in Honolulu Hawaii where he spent many years during his career in the United States Army.
We along with Mike and Pat thank all of our friends for their prayers and ask that you all continue to keep them and Michael’s family in your prayers.
Gina & I hope everyone has a pleasant and wonderful day, enjoying what our Father has so graciously blessed us with.

Please Pray for Mike & Pat
We woke up yesterday morning to the sad news that Mike and Pat’s oldest son, Mikel had passed away in his sleep Monday night in Tucson. We’re deeply saddened for them and ask that you keep them and their families in your prayers. He leaves behind a wife and two sons ages 12 and 15.
This morning we will be traveling to Tucson with Mike and Pat so we can be with them during their time of loss. I would like to reiterate a quote from Mike & Pat’s blog last Sunday. “Remember, tell your Kids and Family that you love them. They will not be around forever”.

Gina Enjoys Mother's Day
Gina and I hope all the mothers out there had a Happy Mother’s Day. After going to church with Mike and Pat we did our usual trip to the grocery store and then home. After Gina talked to our children and they all wished her a Happy Mother’s Day she prepared a broccoli cheese casserole for our special Mother's Day dinner with Pat and Mike. I had promised Pat that I would fry another turkey before we left and what better day to do it than on Mother’s Day. We all enjoyed a great meal and Gina topped it off with strawberries and whip cream over angel food cake. We then headed home so Gina could watch “Army Wives”.
We are down to our last week here in Arizona before we begin our travels toward our house in Louisiana. Gina may not have been able to see her flowers bloom in Louisiana. However, she did get to see the desert come to life as she spent a lot of time taking pictures of all the flowers out here. From the first Easter cactus bloom she saw it was love at first sight. She just couldn’t get enough of watching them. The flower only stays open for approximately 24 hours and then dies. I hope you enjoy looking at all of the flowers as much as Gina has.

Gina's first Easter Cactus flower that she saw

There are only a few red ones. Most are white

There were 32 flowers on this one

This one is on Mike & Pat's old lot

Gina chopped off a piece and planted this one three weeks ago in front of Mike & Pat's house. She never thought about it blooming this year.

We both thought this little Barrel cactus in bloom was so pretty

Another beautiful flower
