Gina Enjoys Mother's Day

Gina and I hope all the mothers out there had a Happy Mother’s Day. After going to church with Mike and Pat we did our usual trip to the grocery store and then home. After Gina talked to our children and they all wished her a Happy Mother’s Day she prepared a broccoli cheese casserole for our special Mother's Day dinner with Pat and Mike. I had promised Pat that I would fry another turkey before we left and what better day to do it than on Mother’s Day. We all enjoyed a great meal and Gina topped it off with strawberries and whip cream over angel food cake. We then headed home so Gina could watch “Army Wives”.

We are down to our last week here in Arizona before we begin our travels toward our house in Louisiana. Gina may not have been able to see her flowers bloom in Louisiana. However, she did get to see the desert come to life as she spent a lot of time taking pictures of all the flowers out here. From the first Easter cactus bloom she saw it was love at first sight. She just couldn’t get enough of watching them. The flower only stays open for approximately 24 hours and then dies. I hope you enjoy looking at all of the flowers as much as Gina has.

Gina chopped off a piece and planted this one three weeks ago in front of Mike & Pat's house. She never thought about it blooming this year.
