Gina Has Been Busy

First, Gina and I want to wish Shane, our son-in-law a Happy Birthday!! I really like the present Nicole, our daughter gave him. A 142 pound, 16 week pregnant lady that comes with twins. (her words not mine) Here’s a picture of his present.

We arrived in Houston Sunday evening and first thing we did was check Mom & Pops aka Mike & Pat’s blog. He had still had not posted. That concerned us so I called them to make sure everything was all right. It was great to hear that Pops spent time with his son, Patrick and put off writing his blog until Sunday night. They know just as we do that life is short and sharing time with your children is so important. We were glad to hear that Pop’s had a great weekend with his son.

Now for me I will not bore you with my job other than to say that I have been busy.  Now for Gina, she was so excited about the fancy baby socks that she made this weekend she brought her sewing machine back to Houston.  Gina has been busy sewing.  Now that’s a good thing since normally she is out shopping looking for great bargains on baby items while I'm at work. Not only is she making designer socks but she's also making baby headbands. I think she could start making some money to pay for that fancy sewing machine she bought from Janna. I’m just glad she’s using it Janna. It only took me 30 years to convince her to buy one. If it weren’t for you Janna she would have never bought one. Here are some pictures of her designer socks and headbands. I think they look beautiful and I'm so proud of her.

The lady bug socks are my favorites

Gina & I hope everyone has a pleasant and wonderful day, enjoying what our Father has so graciously blessed us with.

We Take a Trip to Our House

Gina and I decided to take a trip to Louisiana. Really we just decided to go to our house. We do not get there very often. We arrived late Thursday evening and had dinner at my sister’s house. Rickey, my BIL had grilled hamburgers and sausage. My dad was even there. We enjoyed a great evening with family.

Gina had a doctor’s appointment Friday morning while I mowed grass. Friday evening found us again down at my sister’s house for steak and bake potatoes.

I ran a few errands Saturday morning and Gina decided to play on her sewing machine.  She made some fancy baby socks.

Gina had scheduled a manicure and pedicure with Brandi in the afternoon. I went down to Rickey’s to help him install a backsplash on his workbench in his shop. Really it’s a very nice man cave.

That sure is a fancy looking workbench

We picked up Dana and Rickey Saturday evening and took them out to eat at Mike Anderson’s. It’s one of the better seafood restaurants in Baton Rouge. The food was great!

Saturday found Ashley, Parker and Jolee in New York City taking a tour of the Empire State Building. Here are a few pictures from their trip.

We'll be driving back to Texas today.  However, we have another trip planned to California coming up this week.  Abigail, our first grand-daughter will be celebrating her first birthday on Friday.

We Have Been Busy

Well, let’s see. Gina and I have been busy since she arrived. Friday night as I mentioned before we babysat Jolee. Ashley and Parker went out to celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary. Congratulations to both of them!!! The only picture I have of them is when they left Sunday.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Saturday we went to a pool party with Parker’s two sisters and his parents at a close friend’s house who lives here in Katy, Texas. Then that night they had a fajita party. There was way too much food. However, we all had a great time.

I sure have enjoyed Jolee

Saturday night Thomas called me and told me that he, Ashley and Abigail went to the USS Midway Museum in San Diego, California. Here are a few pictures of their day along with Abigail in her walker. She is sure growing fast. We’ll be seeing her in seven days.

Sunday morning found Gina and I sleeping in. I cooked lunch for Ashley and Parker before we brought them to the airport in another thunderstorm. Of course the rain hasn’t let up much around here. After we made it back home it was time to relax. For dinner we had grilled steaks and baked potatoes. A very busy weekend but I sure have enjoyed having Gina home.

Monday was back to work for me and Gina took Angel and Zoey to get groomed. She said they needed a haircut really bad. Tuesdays are special days now. It’s the day Nicole begins another week of her pregnancy with twins. The best part is she sends me a picture so I can see how big the twins are. Really how big she’s getting.

Nicole at 15 weeks

I spent time looking for an RV park near Rockport, Texas for Mike and Janna to come to in January since the park that Gina and I will be at is full. I believe between the two of us today we have found a park.

As you all know I bought Gina a car a little over two weeks ago.  However she was only home for the weekend and never had time to drive it.  In fact today was the first day she drove it and she loves it.

She's ready to drive it, Finally!!

Gina & I hope everyone has a pleasant and wonderful day, enjoying what our Father has so graciously blessed us with.
