Our Good Friends, Rocky and Sheri Arrive

We woke up this morning with great anticipation for the arrival of our good friends Rocky and Sheri. They are definitely more builders from the Lord. We didn’t know what time they would arrive so we took off to Mom and Pop’s little country church. Gina and I have really enjoyed meeting all the folks at Crossroads Church. Their pastor, Brother Neal is a true cowboy. It was very evident the Holy Spirit was present in our worship yesterday. It was so AWESOME to be in the Lord’s presence and to have the privilege to worship Him. Today's sermon was on encouraging others and allowing oneself to be used by God as a medium to pass on what He blesses each one of us with. What God gives us, we should give back to bless others. Gina and I know without a doubt that God’s hand is in the building of Mom and Pop’s apartment. We are only the tools for Our Father and for Him to use us according for His purpose. All the PRAISE and GLORY goes to Him.

Rocky and Sheri coming up the hill

We had no sooner arrived home from church when we looked down the hill and here was a big burgundy truck & Teton fifth wheel making its way up the hill. Rocky and Sheri had finally arrived from Dallas, Texas. Back on November 16th last year they took us on a tour of what their ministry, Heromakers, is doing in Mexico. I linked the date if anyone wants to read about our tour. He and Sheri plan and lead teams of people on a weekly basis to build homes for orphanages. By doing this these same individuals become a Hero to a child. Rocky has a lot of experience in building. His and Sheri’s arrival here is a welcome to us. Between the two of us we should be able to finish up Mom & Pop’s apartment before the end of summer.

If only you knew how happy I am to see you

All of us saying hello and welcome

After we all exchanged our hugs they got parked and setup. Gina and I finally got off to the grocery store. After we got back home we all sat outside and got caught up with all of our happenings since we had last seen each other. Gina and I had already decided we were cooking dinner for them since they had traveled today. Really it just gave me another excuse to grill. After dinner we discussed our game plan for the next few weeks before calling it a night.

Gina & I hope everyone has a pleasant and wonderful day, enjoying what our Father has so graciously blessed us with.

  1. It is wonderful that you all have found the Crossroads Church to meet your spiritual needs while you are in the Black Hills. That is the hardest part of full-timing (not that we've been full-timing all that long). I miss having the "home" church. We never want to neglect our spiritual life.
That is an incredible ministry Rockie and Sheri have in Mexico. The pictures of those little girls just melted my heart. So pretty!
With their talent they should be a great help in completing Mike & Pat's apartment. :)
